2What VroomScan does

VroomScan listens to short recordings of sounds from your vehicle, one sound source at a time (engine, transmission, turbo, exhaust, brakes, suspension, belts and pulleys, A/C and fans), and compares them with recordings from similar vehicles. It returns a pre-check estimate: where an anomaly may be, the likely causes with a match score, a guide on whether to keep driving, and notes to share with a mechanic.

3Estimates, not diagnoses

Every result is a prediction based on sound alone. VroomScan does not read sensor or OBD data and cannot inspect your vehicle. Match scores show how close a recording is to known faults. They are not a guarantee.

4Recording safely

Some sound sources are recorded while the vehicle is moving. Only record when it is safe and legal to do so. Never handle your phone while driving. Ask a passenger to record, or mount the phone before you set off, and follow all traffic laws. You are responsible for how and where you record.

5Guest use and accounts

You can use VroomScan as a guest without an account. Guest scans, vehicles and history are stored only on your device and are lost if you delete the app or clear local data. You can create a free account at any time with your email address and a one-time code. An account keeps your history and lets you restore purchases on other devices.

6Plans

VroomScan offers the following plans: Free (1 scan per month with a summary result, 10-second recordings, ads), Pro Monthly (15 full estimates per billing period, 60-second recordings, no ads), Pro Yearly (unlimited full estimates under fair use of up to 10 scans per day, 60-second recordings, no ads, 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers) and Single Report (one full estimate and mechanic PDF for one scan, non-renewing).

The Free scan allowance is per account and renews at the start of each calendar month. A full estimate on the Free plan requires Pro or a Single Report. The Pro Monthly allowance renews with each billing period: if you subscribe on the 23rd, it renews on the 23rd of every month. The Pro Yearly daily limit resets at 00:00 UTC.

Free accounts and guests can add 1 vehicle. Pro covers up to 5 vehicles. Plan features, limits and prices may change. We will tell you in advance before a change affects an active subscription.

7Subscriptions and billing

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
• The 3-day free trial is offered on the Yearly plan only, once per eligible account. The Monthly plan has no free trial.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• If you cancel during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends when you cancel.
• Prices are shown in your local currency and may differ by country or region. Applicable taxes are included where required.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

8Single Report

A Single Report is a one-time, non-renewing purchase. It unlocks the full estimate and mechanic PDF for one scan. It does not remove ads and does not include other Pro features. Guests can buy a Single Report without an account.

9Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app or change devices, use Restore Payment on the plan screen while signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you purchased with.

10Fair use

Unlimited on the Yearly plan means up to 10 scans per day, resetting at 00:00 UTC. Automated, commercial or bulk use, reselling results, or attempts to reverse engineer the model are not allowed. Garages and fleets should contact us for business use.

11Advertising

The Free plan and guest use are supported by ads, including a bottom banner and a full-screen ad shown when you leave a result. Ads are never placed in front of a safety verdict. Pro subscribers do not see ads.

12Your content

You keep ownership of your recordings. You give us a licence to process them to produce your results and, unless you opt out, to improve our sound models as described in the Privacy Policy.

13Licence (EULA)

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use VroomScan on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse engineer the app. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its content or support, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this licence for apps obtained from the App Store. The full terms are in our End User Licence Agreement (EULA).

14Limitation of liability

VroomScan is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for vehicle damage, repair costs, accidents or other losses arising from decisions made using an estimate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

15Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. İstanbul courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees or consumer courts competent under Turkish consumer protection law (Law No. 6502), or any mandatory protections of the country where you live.
