This Privacy Policy explains what information VroomScan collects when you use the app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain language.
1Information we collect
We collect only what we need to give you an engine diagnosis and keep your account working:
- Account data - your email address and optional name, used for passwordless sign-in.
- Engine recordings - the short audio clips you record for analysis.
- Vehicle & maintenance data - make, model, scores, scan history and service logs you add.
- Device & usage data - app version, device type and basic diagnostics to fix bugs.
2How we use your information
Your data is used to generate AI diagnoses, show your health score and history, send the 6-digit login code, and improve detection accuracy. We never sell your personal data.
3Audio recordings
Recordings are processed to produce your diagnosis. They are associated with your account so you can review past scans, and you can delete them - or your whole account - at any time from Settings.
4Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app (e.g. cloud hosting and analytics), under contracts that require them to protect it. We may disclose data where required by law.
5Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Deleting your account permanently erases your scans, scores and maintenance history.

6Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, associated data is removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we must retain it for legal reasons.
